TheatresCool is truly a diamond in the rough. Not that BN is a rough town, but Theatrescool was certainly something I was looking for but never expected to find in the Midwest. When working on films in cities like Chicago and Los Angeles, I was often jealous of fellow actors who talked of their great training opportunities. When a co-worker’s sister mentioned over lunch that Kymberly Harris was teaching a class in town, and told me of her credentials, I called her immediately. I walked in the doors planning on bettering my acting abilities for my school and now 2 years later I have jump started a career. And I wanted to further that, but I didn’t know how or where to go. then one day I saw a flier for the class…huh well that’ll work! So I started going to TheatresCool. The adult acting class has been a great experience. I’ve always been interested in acting and after taking a few of these classes, acting is something I definitely want to pursue. Another reason I decided to take this class was to help me with presentations at work. I naturally get nervous sometimes in front of a crowd and this class has taught me how to channel certain emotions and put them on full display. Improv is the next challenge and I can’t wait to get instruction from Kim on how to improve.
