Method Acting Workshops
TheatresCool is the only professional training ground in Central Illinois that teaches the technique of method acting to beginning and professional actors. This same technique is used by the world’s favorite actors like Robert Deniro, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche many of whom worked with or taught Kymberly during her training at the Actors Studio MFA Program and beyond in New York City.
Our children and teen workshops create and write their own plays every ten weeks based on the TACT system developed by founder Kymberly Harris. Our adult students perform modern and contemporary plays like those seen in New York City and Chicago theatre, right here in Bloomington-Normal.
Spring 2012 Method Acting Schedule
Kids 3-7: Fridays 4:00pm-5:00pm, Starting March 2nd
Kids 8-12: Mondays 4:30pm-6:00pm, Starting February 27th
Teens 13-17: Saturdays 1:00pm-3:00pm, Starting March 3rd
Adults 18+: Thursdays 6:00pm-9:00pm, Starting March 1st
**The first day of class is the previous classes performance. This gives new students the opportunity to see the end of session performance they will be participating in at the end of their up coming 10-week session.**
ENROLLMENT
Prospective students can enroll at any time for the next available session.
Each session is ten weeks long and costs $250, plus a $25 registration fee. Each session ends with an in-class performance on our stage in Downtown Bloomington. Students will also have an opportunity to buy comp cards/headshots and guidance for professional modeling and acting work with CHICAGO TALENT AGENCIES.
