Kymberly Harris is an Actor/Writer/Director. She wrote and directed the short films Rose’s Turn and Faith (starring Ryan Donowho and Britt Lower) to be released in 2017, and created (writer/actor) of MILK, a pilot that is in post-production with Paul Kampf Studios for 2017. A published and produced playwright, several plays by Kymberly have been produced in NYC and in Chicago. Her play FAITH will be the only drama published in the new anthology Proofread or Die! featuring works by colleagues and friends of the late David Foster Wallace. In 2014, she assisted James Ponsoldt and Jason Segel on the film The End of the Tour about her ex-boyfriend the late David Foster Wallace. She has appeared on stage at Labyrinth Theatre, the Public Theatre, Circle in the Square, Next Theatre and has acted in several award winning independent films. Some credits include originating the role of Holly in Eric Simonson’s Bang the Drum Slowly opposite Tracy Letts and the workshop of Terrence McNally’s It’s Only A Play opposite Thomas Sadoski, Josh Radnor, and Lisa Kudrow (2014). Harris founded TheatresCool (www.TheatresCool.com) to teach method acting to kids, teens, and adults in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois and currently teaches acting at The Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute in West Hollywood and to private clients. Other teaching assignments include: The School of Visual Arts (NYC), Black Nexxus (NYC), AMDA, and Bradley University. Kymberly is a member of Rogue Machine Theatre, Skylight Theatre, AEA, AFTRA, SAG, and the Dramatists Guild. Kymberly is an MA from Illinois State University in Theatre, and a double MFA from The Actors Studio Drama School at the New School in Acting and Playwriting.
